The Z-Bolt® Sapphire Galaxy II (SG-2) is built for use in extreme temperatures. We have placed our new design blue laser diode in a beautiful casing suitable for astronomy or scope mounting; operates in low temperatures ( Below 10 Degrees Fahrenheit) without dimming or degradation. Projects a brilliant sapphire blue laser beam and dot. Visible beam at night - dot only during daytime hours. Six (6) hours constant on operation.
DPSS blue laser pointers, available since 2006, have the same basic construction as DPSS green lasers. They most commonly emit light at 473nm, which is produced by frequency doubling of of 946nm laser light from a double-pumped Nd:YAG or Nd:YVO4 crystal. Complex and very expensive, these DPSS blue laser pointers can be rarely found for less than $500. We have a better way! Z-Bolt® Sapphire Series laser pointers are fabricated with InGaN semiconductors, which emit blue laser light without frequency-doubling. The blue laser diodes are manufactured in Japan, then assembled into our proprietary Z-Bolt® designs. Less complex, easier to manufacture in numbers, and much, much less expensive.
The Z-Bolt® Sapphire Galaxy II (SG-2) blue laser pointer for astronomy is constructed of high quality anodized aluminum and includes a glass lens for superior laser performance. Ships in a satin lined carry & gift case; 2 pcs CR123A batteries; nylon belt carry pouch included. Jet black tube finish. Redesigned constant on/off click switch; telescope mountable; visible beam & two (2) mile range (at night).
Astro-1, Anodized Aluminum
The ASTRO-1 features a quick-release laser bracket for transportation and storage. The bracket also includes a precision T-style dovetail that maintains alignment when re-attached. Made from solid aircraft grade aluminum, the ASTRO-1 is engineered for a lifetime of use. Holds lasers up to 23mm OD; weighs 5oz. Astronomy Laser Bracket - Choice of Three (3) Mounting Base Plates:
Wide 2.35" Base. With a radius-cut of 9.25", the base mounts snugly to virtually any reflector. Pre-existing holes with center-to-center spacing of 1.0" to 2.1" may be used to mount the base using two (2) screws; or four (4) screws with 1.75" center-to-center spacing may be used. Mounting hardware (8-32 screws/nuts) included.
Features a smaller base to take up less space on your refractor. With a radius-cut of 1.75", the base fits snugly on most refractors, and is mounted with industrial-strength double-sided tape, included. Base is 1.12" wide at the bottom; 0.88" wide at top and 1.5" long. Height to ring-top is 2.6".

Remote cable switch to activate green laser pointer without touching telescope when aligned as a star finder. Prevents unwanted movements that affect delicate finder alignments. For use with green lasers in finder mounts and alignment setups. Designed for the outdoors; rugged and reliable; dirt and moisture resistant. Cable switch can be "velcro" attached to telescope body; or allowed to dangle freely.
